Advantages of a cup agitator:
Due to the low speed and the resulting gentle mixing, the medium is mixed gently.
Ideal for liquid media that must not be damaged by shear forces.
Cup agitators do not create a vortex and therefore do not introduce air bubbles into the medium.
Efficient mixing is achieved even with high viscosities.
Due to the low speeds, less power is required than with inclined blade agitators or cross-beam agitators.
Cup agitators are most efficient when operated centrally in round tanks and without flow breakers in the tank.

Cup agitators are not suitable for fast and turbulent mixing, nor for incorporating floating additives.
